[ sometimes people in hogwarts are really stubborn. sometimes people in hogwarts are really stupid. sometimes you have people like leo, people who spend their time playing music for mandrakes because "music helps plants grow, y'know," despite the fact half the time the music is drowned out because mandrakes friggin' scream like crazy and you're wearing earmuffs how do you even know the music's playing but who cares.
honestly, the most surprising part of leo is maybe the fact he's muggle-born. for all his eccentricities, you'd think he was in a world full of wailing plants and "it's leviosa, actually" his whole life.
behold, the "Leo's Weird Act" of the day: still wearing the quidditch uniform (as it's right after one of those rare times where he's actually attended practice. the only thing rarer than that is when he actually attends games), he hangs upside down on a broomstick in the gryffindor common room, waving his wand idly as an unnamed tune plays from it.
( as a side note, it's a miracle he can still even attend practice. honestly, maybe chiaki's just too nice to kick him off the team officially. )
